LITEK members create world-recognizable products

Ekspla is among Prism Award 2023 finalists in the laser category. Their innovation – Single Housing MIR Tunable Picosecond Laser PT277-XIR – helps to see molecular formations that are about a thousand times smaller than the thickness of a hair and is a perfect tool for scientific research. “The uniqueness of this laser is its great specifications, that allows to carry out research with several times greater accuracy than the technology used before,” says Mantvydas Jašinskas, Chief Sales Officer at EKSPLA.

It is the second time in company’s history that EKSPLA products made it to the finals. In 2010 Ekspla won the Prism Award by introducing DPSS tunable wavelength nanosecond laser.

 Second year in a row

In 2022 two Lithuanian companies were nominated. LITEK cluster member LITILIT has become one of the nominees for the award “Prism Awards 2022” in the category of industrial lasers.

Another Lithuanian company, a manufacturer of software for the control of laser machines, UAB “Direct machining control”, also became the finalist in the nominations of the software category.

The Prism Awards

The Prism Awards is an annual international competition that honors the best new optics and photonics products on the market. This award is presented annually by the International Society for Optics and Photonics (SPIE) to laser, photonics, or optics companies for their most innovative products of the year.

The winners will be announced and celebrated at the gala on 1st of February 2023 in San Francisco.
