The visit of President of Romania

President of Romania Klaus Iohannis, director of Extreme Light Infrastructure-Nucleatr Physics Centre (ELI-NP) prof. Nicolae-Victor ZAMFIR, together with a delegation from Romania have visited Sunrise Valley Technology and Innovation Center on 18th of May. During this visit. The guests were introduced to the Lithuanian potential in technology innovation field. As dr. Gintaras Valušis has noticed, small geographical location create great added value because of the collaboration between science and business.

President of Romania Klaus Iohannis with the delegation have visited Department of Laser Technologies of Center for Physical Sciences and Technology, modern „Ekspla“ laser development laboratories, had a chance to see a part from the most powerful laser in world that is held in LITEK, which will be used for research in „ELI Beamlines“.

The President of Romania in Lithuania is for state visit this week. The aim of this visit – to discuss the security situation and migration issues with Lithuanian leaders.
