An overview of European Photonics Public Private Partnership (PPP) support actions for small and medium-sized enterprises

The European photonics sector is constantly expanding and growing. An international network of national platforms, regional clusters, major laboratory infrastructures, academies and institutes within the framework of H2020 projects, led by the organization Photonics Public Private Partnership (PPP), aiming to increase its development and development potential, supports European small and medium-sized enterprises in creating and developing technologies in the field of photonics. An overview of this organization’s support activities for 2015-2020 includes sample projects that have provided innovation promotion and networking services to European photonics SMEs. Among them are two projects carried out jointly with LITEK™ – RespiceSME (partner) and LASER-GO (coordinator) – during which the companies had the opportunity to evaluate their innovative potential, prepare for the innovation strategy, perform the product value chain analysis, find the relevant research laboratory , to increase and strengthen international networking, to identify and explore new markets in third countries.
