Echoes of the “Laser World of Photonics” exhibition in Munich

„Laser World of Photonics“ – one of the largest industry exhibitions in Munich, which took place on 27-30  of June and attracting around 1,300 companies in the field of photonics every year, has just closed its doors until next year. A record number of Lithuanian laser manufacturers participated in the exhibition at the national stand of Lithuania, including LITEK™ companies: UAB Akoneer, UAB Altechna, UAB EKSMA Optics, UAB EKSPLA, UAB Litilit, UAB Optonas, UAB QS Lasers and the Center of Physical Sciences and Technology (FTMC). “Laser World of Photonics” is a great opportunity to present company’s activities, products or services, to establish beneficial business relations with representatives of German and international companies.

The award goes to Lithuania

This year’s exhibition became special for the LITEK™ company UAB EKSMA Optics, which won the “HiLASE LIDT Challenge 2023” competition. The results of the competition were presented during the „Laser World of Photonics“ event. For the international competition “HiLASE LIDT Challenge”, organized by the Laser Research Center of the Czech Academy of Sciences, HiLASE, EKSMA Optics submitted its optical components coated with a special anti-reflective coating developed by the company, which eliminates reflections of laser radiation in the UV range (343 nm). The coating developed by EKSMA Optics was recognized as the best because it experienced the least damage from high-energy laser radiation of certain parameters. “We are extremely proud of our talented engineers, whose patient and consistent work has made this achievement possible. We also continue to be committed to serving our customers with exceptional optical components for their existing and future laser systems” – Daugirdas Kuzma, EKSMA Optics business development manager, is happy about the winning competition.
