Call for technology transfer experiments
Companies are invited to submit applications and receive up to 150 thousand. EUR funding for the deployment of innovative laser systems (Technology Transfer Experiments (TTE)) to digitize production processes, thus improving operational productivity, flexibility and interoperability. Projects will be funded, including the development of innovative laser, assistive and software systems and processes adapted to flexible manufacturing and meeting the other needs of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as well as the introduction of digitalization tools.

Department of Laser Technologies of Center For Physical Sciences And Technology (FTMC), together with eight partners from Spain, Norway, France, Germany, Poland and the United Kingdom, is implementing the EU H2020 project PULSATE “Pan-European Infrastructure for Enhancing Digital Competences of SMEs in Laser-Based Advanced and Added Manufacturing”. PULSATE is a new PAN-European infrastructure intended for promotion the deployment of Laser-Based Advanced and Additive Manufacturing (LBAAM) technologies, which will strengthen the digital competence of SMEs and slightly bigger companies.
The first PULSATE call is expected to allocate € 1.51 million EUR for experiments (up to EUR 150 thousand per experiment) for 10 applications selected to participate in the PULSATE support program. The selected projects will form part of the 13-month PULSATE program, which consists of:

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS:
Only a consortium of at least 2 SMEs (micro, small or medium-sized companies) acting as:
- Technology provider (System Integrators): any entity which designs, builds or rebuilds, programs, installs, modifies, distributes, or supplies systems and/or technology for LBAAM.
- Manufacturing company (End-user/Technology adopter): any entity that deals with the physical or chemical transformation of materials or components into new products.
BENEFITS FOR EACH PROJECT PARTICIPANT:
- For the technology supplier: a new product that meets the needs of the manufacturing sector
- For the end user: approval of a system prototype tailored to his specific work environment
