Xiamen City State delegation visit to LITEK™

LITEK™ was visited by State delegation from Xiamen City of China on November 28th. The meeting was attended by representatives of public institution “Science and Technology Park of the Institute of Physics” (FIMTP), Andrius Sankauskas – sector development manager of Enterprise Lithuania and dr. Petras Balkevičius – executive director of the Lithuanian Laser Association. Andrius Sankauskas presented Lithuania as one of the leading European countries in innovation, emphasizing the contribution of laser technologies and life sciences to the development of innovative products in the country. Executive director of Lithuanian Laser Association dr. Petras Balkevičius introduced the delegation to the history of lithuanian laser creation, products are developed by Lithuanian photonics companies and their demand in global markets. China’s delegation was astonished of laser technology capabilities, such as Department of Laser Technologies of Center for  Physical Sciences and Technology (FTMC) have developed a fast, deep 3D laser engraving technology that can be applied to a variety processes of material processing.

After the event, the delegation visited FTMC Department of Laser Technologies where they had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the micro-processing technologies that are being developed.
