Taiwan – new cooperation opportunities for laser manufacturers of Lithuania
On November 29, a Taiwan-Lithuania webinar was held to discuss cooperation opportunities in the field of laser technology.The event was attended by representatives of the Chinese National Federation of Industries, Taiwan Bureau of Foreign Trade, Taiwan Laser Technology Application Association, Lithuanian Laser Association, Laser and Engineering Technologies Cluster (LITEK™) and TOOLAS cluster. During webinar, mutually beneficial information was exchanged and perspectives for future cooperation were discussed.
Chairman of Taiwan Laser Technology Application Association Mr. Henry Lee spoke about the development and achievements of the local laser industry. Although Taiwan is one of the leaders in high technology, neither local photonics technology nor its imports fully meet the need for laser technology so much needed by the local industry. dr. Gediminas Račiukaitis, the chairman of Lithuanian Laser Association, offered the services of Lithuanian laser manufacturers and scientists as one of the possibilities to meet this need, presenting their areas of activity and competencies.”Big industry is an area where there are great prospects for co-operation,”- says dr. Gediminas Račiukaitis. Kristina Ananičienė, the head of the LITEK™ cluster, told the participants how the Lithuanian laser technologies are enabled and involved in to the international networking also inviting them to join the activities.
