Spring events – the start of new opportunities

Moving the stagnation of winter, spring will come with new events and new opportunities to cooperate not only for Baltic clusters, but also for individual companies, scientific institutions that want to find partners for joint activities.

The Baltic Cluster Forum, which was launched for the first time last year by the Agency for Science, Innovation and Technology (MITA), has already been officially included in the EU Cluster Week events cycle. Baltic Cluster Forum 2019 conference will discuss the issue of innovation as a key to the success of future clusters growing. The matchmaking organized during the forum, will provide an opportunity to find new partners for innovation, exchange experiences and insights. The event will be held in Kaunas, Park Inn Hotel on March 19d.

The Baltic states space theme business contact fair will be held in Riga on March 20th and all interested and willing to participate in European Space Agency (ESA) programs from Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia are invited. Industrial giants such as Airbus, Thales Alenia Space, OHB and Ariane Group are planning to participate in the event. Therefore, the fair will provide new opportunities for collaboration and creation of innovative products with these major space industries. Organizers of the event: European Space Agency (ESA), Ministry of the Economy and Innovation and Agency for Science, Innovation and Technology (MITA). Target group of the contact fair: Lithuanian companies and science institutions operating in the field of space and related science, technology and innovation (equipment hardware, optics, optoelectronics, mechatronics, etc.). It is planned to select 14 representatives of Lithuanian companies, research and study institutions to participate in the contact fair. Those wishing to participate in this event must submit their applications to MITA before February 8th.

The conference „Making Industry 4.0 real“ dedicated to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, organized by the German-Baltic Chamber of Commerce (AHK), Lithuanian Engineering Industry Association LINPRA, and Lithuanian ICT association INFOBALT will be held in Kaunas, Park Inn Hotel on March 20th. Next day, after the conference, a free international B2B / contact exchange event, bilateral meetings with leading European engineering industry leaders, purchasing managers and managers will be organised. The B2B session organized by LINPRA and Enterprise Lithuania will be held as the second part of the international conference “Industry 4.0”. Lithuanian, Scandinavian, French, German, Belgian, Dutch, Czech and other engineering industries from the following sectors are invited to join the event: metalworking, plastic and rubber products, electrical equipment and other machinery, automation, robotics and laser technology development.
