Whale Done! Training for LITEK members

On 10-18 of January, 2013 LITEK training session from the cycle “Training about team building and cooperation reinforcement” was held, which is partly funded by means of the project “Reinforcement of international competitiveness of Laser and engineering technology cluster”. Topic of the training was “The meaning of positivity in leadership and communication”, based on the programme Whale Done!, created as a training material for cooperation, helping to understand relationships with colleagues, teaching how to improve these relationships, how to improve one’s productivity and to achieve better results.

Working, seeking personal results, we have to communicate with others, to create stable and reliable relationships. We frequently have to deal with a problem that organizations rarely think about creating a positive atmosphere. It’s much easier to react in the GOTcha way, this means “GOTcha son of a b****”. If an employee or a colleague makes a mistake, someone will already be waiting behind their back and – GOTcha! Constantly used GOTcha! is some kind of a parenting/training program, which involuntarily starts to direct us not to prevent mistakes, but to correct them.  This kind of inner culture of organization or group is self-suppressing and condemned. Paying attention to caching mistakes, we involuntarily encourage the element we want to avoid – negative behavior…

Whale Done! Method can significantly improve your relationships with others – colleagues, employees, managers. This method is viral and it is transmitted from one individual to another. When the positive atmosphere prevails it improves organizational productivity, team morale and results. Whale Done! – Creation of confidence, emphasis on positive changes, and in case of mistakes – diversion of energy into goal-seeking process.

This programme has lots of advantages for an employee as well as for an organization:
–    Less stress – Whale Done! Helps to eliminate stress, related to negative communication.
–    You’ll do more – while creating confidence, noticing positive aspects in the environment, using energy diversion method, you will help yourself and others achieve greater results faster and easier.

In 2002 in USA survey of 5000 employees was conducted, it states that only 51% of employees are satisfied with their work. Results of the same survey conducted in 1995 were better – 59%. It costs 29-46% of yearly salary to replace an employee. Replacement of a manager costs 2-3 times more.
–    Improved ingenuity of employees and plenty of ideas. While creating an organizational culture based on positive relationships, you create an environment, where it is fun to work, where employees want to create and share ideas.
–    Improved internal communication culture and client service. When an employee can feel that he is taken care of, he cares more about his environment and clients.
–    Positive people all around, great atmosphere, lower incidence of illnesses.

During the training, participants’ abilities to explain, how positive relationships and Whale Done! Can help organization to improve, to identify methods, which can help achieve confidence, to describe and apply a method of energy diversion and to describe and apply the four steps of Whale Done! response, were educated.
