LITEK attended a coaching training program

On 24-27 of September, 2012 LITEK training session from the cycle “Training about team building and cooperation reinforcement” was held, which is partly funded by means of the project “Reinforcement of international competitiveness of Laser and engineering technology cluster”. Creation, manufacturing of new products and finding markets for them is a difficult process in a modern, rapidly changing economic environment. Therefore, in order to achieve desired results, ability to change, adapt and work in new environment, team is necessary for companies’ employees. This is important for every separate company, but even more important for establishing joint projects in the cluster. That’s why the training programme is oriented in to main directions: 1) team building, team leader training, i.e. forming and strengthening internal bonds between cluster’s members, and 2) Training communication and cooperation skills for cluster’s members, i.e. facilitating cluster’s members to share experience and to gain new experience, at the same time strengthening external bonds. Heads of cluster’s companies mainly focus on the development of organization, creation of concepts as vision and mission, search of clients, creation of image and products. Employee motivation, communication, inclusion into team activities, encouragement and giving feedback are usually responsibilities of organization’s middle and lower level managers. Experience shows, those organizations, where training of managers from every level is considered important, achieve better quantitative and qualitative results.

This training session was dedicated to identifying middle and lower level managers’ personal style of coaching, understanding its development, understanding and evaluating the impact of every participant’s coaching style, learning a practical coaching model, which allows to influence and improve the effectiveness of others, trying this model practically in various situations, strengthen ones managing and influencing experience and knowledge, renew and improve understanding about coaching.

Coaching – an interactive process of communication between the members of organization (manager to employee, between colleagues, employee to manager), whose goal is to spread a positive influence. Coaching amplifies motivation, activity and understanding and helps to rapidly improve other person’s skills. Coaching is a continuous process of creating partnership and seeking goals. Coaching discussions can be qualified as formal administration process or the need of these discussions emerges as a result of some incident, event, and problem in achieving goals, during the project or due to crisis in a relationship. Coacher’s goals are to help others in seeing the need and preparing for changes, to encourage and help others in seeking success, to accelerate constant improvement and successful activity, to train strengths and to eliminate weaknesses, to encourage them to pull up and to assume responsibility, to encourage growth and education, to amplify their dedication to work and goals, to maintain organizational values and culture.

Training was hosted by the lector Ritoldas Normantas from “Sėkmės laboratorija” Ltd.  He is an expert, certified coaching supervisor, certified member of a global organization ICMCI; also he is an official CMC (Certified Management Consultant). Lector specializes in fields of management of organizational development, negotiations, communications, public speaking and professional marketing. He as 15 years of experience in coaching, has prepared and hosted more than 700 trainings and has worked with people from various responsibility levels – from active sellers to top-level managers and politicians. Ritoldas has successfully consulted and hosted continuous trainings for such organizations as “Swedbank”, “SEB”, “Ūkio bankas”, “DNB Nord”, Danske bank”, “Lietuvos energija”, “VST”, “Maxima LT”, “Palink”, “Eurovaistinė”, “Statoil Lietuva”, “Švyturys – Utenos alus”, “Audimas”, “15 minučių”, etc.

It is planned that during the LITEK project “Reinforcement of international competitiveness of Laser and engineering technology cluster” no less than 50 employees of cluster’s companies will be trained about team building and communication reinforcement
